Resin Application Process on Denim long pant for 3D designing

Resin Application Process

Resin application is a very unique process which is applied on denim long and short pant and also color denim pants for extra fashion art work.

Today, I will show how to do the 3D resin application and how to gain the 3D looking on whisker and honey comb at knee whisker area.

Firstly, mix the resin with other content.
Chemical mixing is very essential at this stage.

Resin is a chemical which forms thin film polymer layer on the fabric/cellulose surface to fix it to the desired shape. And after resin application the place where resin applied it becomes harder, and in that case, Softener is very essential to use.

Chemical mixing:
Resin GL 88 = 30%
Elastomatic Softener = 10%
Water = 60%

Then we mixed the chemical carefully and set it into the spray gun for spraying on the fabric/pant surface where we are going to make the design. Spray gun should be set manually and the limit of spraying substances should not wet the surface of the fabric/pant. Spray should be done in semi-dry mode.

Pattern should be set at the spraying pointing area so that the spray does not go through on the unnecessary places and then the spray is done carefully on both the left side and right side of the whisker.

There are different kinds of - 3D design; like round 3D , Box 3D, Angular 3D, etc.

Angular 3D design is made using Iron pressing and round/Box 3D is made using 3D designing machine.

The picture shown in the left is the image of 3D machine.

This machine has electric coil on the upper beam and it blows air through the electric coils and blows on the fabric/pant spraying area to fix the resin with the design at the primary stage.

After this primary stage then we got to complete the final stage of the 3D design.

The garments is cured in the oven where the Oven temperature is 130 Degree Celsius inside and the garments is kept for one round from the starting to ending for the time of 25 minutes.

Finally, after curing of the garment in the oven we get the final outcome shown in the picture right :-
